I have need of to power my desk top pc for a open market and do not have the money for a laptop so I know I could use a generator but be wondering weather there be anything else about approaching a battery that could be charged up to power the workstation.
Generators can be nosey and it would be good for me if I could hold an alternative power supply.
How could i power my desk top notebook for outside use?
If you have a sports car nearby I enjoy a solution. I'm a truck driver and I use one of these for power.

You can find these for $20-30 at any truck-stop, I've seen them at Walmarts as resourcefully, but they are usually cheaper at a truck stop. If there is a Pilot truck stop hard by your home they have them for $20.
it plugs into a car's cigarette lighter and it will power a desktop, I've done it. You probably will enjoy to keep the motor running though.
If you want a a real alternative power supply they put up for sale these things all the passageway up to 3000 watts. They mount permanently to your motor and must be hooked up directly to your battery. A 3000 watt edition will pretty much power your entire house with 110 volt power. you can find them for smaller quantity than $300. They make them within 1000 watt and 2000 watt versions as resourcefully.
try an inverter my friend- you would need a hard to digest duty battery though as your notebook can draw up to 500 watts! at 12 volts thats 42 amps
so a 110Ahr battery is going to afford you about three hours tops!

You can use a vehicle battery beside a inverter, but I don't know how long it would last though.
