Go to this trellis site for a free program. http://www.killdisk.com/ Or use your Windows XP and follow the instructions after it boots up. If you have Windows 98 Exit to Dos and type Format
There are serveral ways to format a easier said than done drive. The easiest way would be to click start, click run, type cmd, hit okay, later type 'format x:' where x is the communication of the drive you want to format.
What you need is a Windows or MS DOS disk and next when it is installing it would give you the route to format the disk. To do this put the disk or floppy in the computer while it is at the BIOS and the BIOS by failure to pay should boot from it in this lay down Floppy Drive > CD/DVD Drive and if no disk then it would look surrounded by the Hard disk.
To reformat your computers hard drive you own to have your operating system (Windows Vista) installation cd and the product knob that came near it. To reinstall it you insert the cd into the computer and turn it off next restart the computer with the cd inside and follow the onscreen instructions making sure that you own the product key until that time doing it.
