How pious is the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600?

I other hear that Intel Core 2 processors are good to buy. They are better than Intel Celeron. But how apposite is the Intel Core 2 Quad? I am thinking of buying this processor as it's gone down in price, is that honest or bad? How long hold they been on the flea market for? The Extreme processors are too expensive to buy. Any information at all would be really kind.

People motto all you want is a duo need to transmit that to the guys trading their duos in for quads next!!

Duos don't even come close to a quad in things close to video editing.
Dont bother its unnecessary when are you really gonna use 4 cores ummm never just achieve a core 2 duo those will last a long time
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 is even expansive than Extreme. But it have almost twice performance compared to the Extreme.
