How do I attach this lover?

I am attempting to attach a Dynatron P33G cooler to an Intel DQ965GF motherboard (Socket LGA775 type), and it seem impossible, though both claim to be compatible with one another. The X-shaped mount doesn't even come close to touching the holes on the motherboard, and even consequently, nothing come with the cooler or motherboard to if truth be told keep the cooler attached to the motherboard. There are no screw threads or anything. What am I missing here?

The X shaped article is the supporting backplate. Its insulated side should face the backside of the motherboard. If in that are no screws a short time ago like the stock Intel cooler, it is most approaching a push-pin type of fastener. OR possibly like the ASUS VR Guard, spring loaded screw are integrated with the cooler.
sometime a mounting bracket go on the bottom of the mother board
