How long will a notebook hold on to info after it is unplugged?

That really depends on what happen to the PC

while its being moved

Under commonplace conditions the files written on the HD

will last for tons years old Floppy discs be good for simply 4 years if stored carefully smaller amount if not

However if you pack the Computer and next put it next

to a hulking speaker for the move the HD will be all

garbled background when you get to your tentative location
An unlimited amount of time and/or the lifetime of the PC.

Your files are written on the hard drive and cannot be forgotten within any length of time.
It should keep this information forever. When you use your computer, it works next to as much as it can in RAM memory. When you release your files, it saves to Hard Disk memory. Hard disk memory is permanent RAM memory is interim.

When you let your computer sit for a while, it will write the information specifically in RAM to the Hard Drive. When you turn your computer subsidise on, it will remember where you gone off.

You should enjoy no problems.
